The 'Skagen' champagne range celebrates a fellowship of famous impressionist painters, who produced some of Denmark's finest artworks during the late 1800s. Bright color and fine bubbles support expressive tropical fruit flavours, combining fresh pineapple and green mango with grapefruit. A lingering finish with a lemon peel note coming through, this champagne is lovely on its own, but also makes an excellent companion to lighter dishes such as a plateau de fruits de mer or a pan fried sole with lemon butter. It can also be a wonderful accompaniment to poultry, that is not too heavily herbed or spiced.
